Witchy Woman

Top: Forever 21, skirt: Romwe, necklace: H&M, ring: topshop

There are days that I love to play up the witchy aesthetic - black, bell sleeves, cat eye, dark lipstick. I went with a darker vibe, pairing it with this angel ring, pointy necklace and a bracelet that has a lil bug in it, given to me by a friend. This top is seriously the stuff of dreams, though I always have to make sure to be extra careful when reaching for things (I never realized how often I reached over candles and glasses of liquid until I bought this shirt). I kind of look pissed off in these photos, but it's just me getting used to taking photos of myself. Usually I have someone else behind the camera making me laugh and not look so serious. Still getting the hang of this! Any tips from bloggers who take their own photos on how not to look insane/so mad?

  1. I love your accessories! (: What a great 90's-esque outfit.

When I take pictures of myself I always take waaaaay more than necessary so I can weed out the ones where I make silly faces.

  5. I love that top! I used to have one that was similar; it always made me feel like I was in a different era.

As for taking pictures by yourself, over time, you'll come to find that you naturally go into certain poses. For me, I like to look down and smile, and I usually cross one leg over the other to make my legs look longer. I've been at it for nearly a year and feel pretty comfortable in front of the camera, so I really think it's just a matter of time. Looks like you're off to a good start, though!
