Ballgame

On the last day of summer, Labor day, we headed out to the afternoon yankees game. There was a rain delay, but after waiting two hours the sun finally came out and it turned into perfect baseball weather. It was a nice way to spend the day before school started - drinking beer and eating hotdogs. It also didn't hurt that yankees kicked ass! I love the atmosphere of baseball games - the entire crowd doing the wave, vendors tossing cracker jacks high into the stands and of course people on the jumbotron having dilemmas about whether to look into the camera or at themselves on the screen. We got nosebleed seats for only a couple bucks, which worked out well since we got cover from the rain. It meant we could spend our money on more important things - like novelty cups filled with beer (that are now stacked in the cupboard).
When did it get so COLD! I love fall weather and all the things that come along with it - sweaters, jean jackets, long pants...but these pictures were only taken a few days ago and already the seasons seemed to have changed instantly! Right now it seems impossible that I could go out in short shorts and a crop top and not freeze my bum off. I guess this really was the last day of summer. Though I was sad to see summer go, it was one nice last hurrah!
