Magic

Time is flying by at a speed I can't even comprehend. It seems that every time I reference time it seems further and further away. Graduation, moving to Philly...when did it go from last week to almost last month? These photos are from a week and a half ago when my brother and I rode our bikes to the breathtaking Philly Magic Gardens...seriously, one of the coolest places Philly has to offer.

This past week Ella and I went to see the badass Swedish sisters behind First Aid Kit. Those girls seriously rocked it. Between their 70s vibes, great music, and etherial set - it was such a fantastic show! This was followed by a perfect weekend with my boyfriend where we ended up getting lost in rural PA, trekking through suburban backyards, laughing over rest stop cheesesteaks, playing mini golf, and cruising with the windows down. We spent a lazy sunday morning making blueberry vegan pancakes. Though I couldn't physically be with my dad, I took this Father's Day to truly appreciate all the opportunities he's given me, from my education to daily advice, he's one of the most important figures in my life. As a truly self-made man, I still idolize him for all of his great qualities and honestly, just for being a great dad. Happy father's day to all the dad's out there!

No Sleep Til Brooklyn

Forever 21 Skirt, Urban Outfitters purse, Target boots

I bought this 'No Sleep Til Brooklyn' shirt from a little shop near my apartment right before I moved out of Brooklyn. Though I'm not the biggest Beastie Boys fan, I do like having something that links me back there. A couple years ago my mother gave me a Hoboken shirt from when she lived there after college. I like the idea of being able to pass along a place of being.

Last night Francesca came over for a vegan dinner (part of my attempt at good habits). We went for a little walk around the neighborhood and snapped these photos at an old church down the street. The air was thick with warmth and the smell of lilac as we walked along a street lined with big, old houses. The area of Philly that I'm living in is an interesting mix between urban and suburban.

Always Sunny

Greetings from Philadelphia! It has been a crazy two weeks. I graduated from NYU, first at Radio City and then at Yankee Stadium. I was so proud and fortunate to have my friends, boyfriend, and family there to support me. My last couple days in New York were spent hanging out on rooftops and celebrating graduation alongside friends. The stress and fear surrounding packing and moving to a new city was dwarfed by the joy and hopefulness that new adventures bring. Don't get me wrong there were tears (of both frustration and sadness), but in hindsight those emotions weren't as powerful as the joys of graduation and the excitement of moving away from my college stomping ground to somewhere I can start fresh. Since I've been here I've explored my new neighborhood both on foot and on my new bike! Last night I went to see Luke Bryan with my love. That man is one heck of a performer! My boyfriend and I were swaying from side to side while watching Luke's (yes, we're on first name basis) antics unfold. With the beautiful night and songs about sunny days and drinking beer, it was the perfect start to the summer. While I'm currently unsure of what the future holds, I know the warm weather will bring good things along with it!

Last, last day

Yesterday was my last last day. It hasn't hit more (nor will it that anytime soon) that I'm done with class, finished, and am graduating in less than a week's time! I feel like I won't be able to fully comprehend all of this for a while. Sometimes it's nice to experience situations in the moment, rather than constantly trying to reality check that this thing is happening...right now. I'm definitely a person who needs reflection to understand how influential a moment was.
Anyway, I love this jumper that I got from my mom. In my opinion, jumper's are socially acceptable onesies...so are rompers. I'm so overwhelmed at having free time that's really free, not just a day when I'm not doing work but really should be. I have lots of adventures planned for this week and I'm beyond excited!

March Madness

Though it's already May, I thought I would share the pictures from my disposable camera that were taken mostly in March. Some events include my 90s roller skating party, St. Patrick's Day, playing bocce ball at Union Hall, and the second annual Catalina wine mixer. I can't believe how quickly time has passed. All of these photos seemed like they just happened, but I'm closer to graduation than I am to March! I'm beyond excited for what lies ahead. Let the good times rolllll!

Senior Formal

I was away this past weekend visiting my boyfriend and unfortunately got sick. It was one of those 'worth it' weekends, so I don't care that I've hardly left my bed today. Last Saturday night was Senior Formal! NYU went all out and booked a beautiful venue on the water at Chelsea Piers. I ate steak and salmon...I can have it all! I wore a floor length dress and my highest heels that made me feel like an amazonian until too much dancing meant I had to switch them for the flats I stashed in my purse. There was lots of champagne and boogying down to my favorite tunes. We got these giant balloons and carried them around at the end of the night. It made it very easy to spot my friends in the chaos of leaving! I took mine into the subway and a good samaritan helped me shove it through the metro turnstile. I ended up giving it to someone who was eyeing it. What am I going to do with a giant balloon anyway? Might as well share the love!

Sunday Sandwiches: Berry Park

I betcha missed, if you even remember, Sunday Sandwiches! This Sunday: Berry Park in Williamsburg. Yesterday was my good friend Jess' 21st birthday and there was no better way to celebrate than some cocktails at a rooftop brunch spot! Senior Formal was on Saturday night, which meant I didn't get to bed until late. I had planned on spending the day hermited inside, watching some OC with my lady friend, but it was such a beautiful day that we figured we needed to get out! Berry Park is cute as can be and all of their food is incredible. We shared a big bowl o' fries with ketchup and mayo, then the majority of us got eggy, cheesy croissants. I don't quite understand how croissants are so buttery delicious and light at the same time, but I'm not complaining. They keep my belly full and happy. A day spent with great friends, good food, and lots of foosball is always a successful one in my mind!
