DIY wall art

I found instructions for this DIY wall art here. It was really easy and looks great. I made these two, one serious and one funny, for Katherine. She has a whole house now, so I thought she could use some wall art, plus she loves Twin Peaks. I bought both of these pictures at goodwill for a couple dollars each and I'm so happy at how they turned out! I'm definitely making more for my own walls. Have a Happy New Year!

Christmas Eve

Mom and Nanu sitting down for dinner

what?

Merry Christmas! I spent Christmas Eve with my mom, brother and Nanu. We had a delicious dinner of beef stew, mashed potatoes, salad, asparagus and garlic bread. After dinner we drank mulled wine and made a fire outside in the snow. My brother and I had a snowball fight and he put out the fire when he hit me with a gigantic snowball. All I wanted this year was a white Christmas and it was so special waking up to everything dusted in white snow. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Holidays

Frankendog

Sweater knitted by my Aunt Ann

The holidays have been so busy! Yesterday I went up to Connecticut for a progressive party where we started with cocktails at my Aunt Ann's house, then dinner at my Aunt Heather's and finally dessert at Grandma's. My family has almost double in size between everyones significant others and there was a big group of us. It was alot of fun catching up with everyone, eating good food and opening presents. There's nothing more important to me than family and I'm so looking forward to being home with my family for Christmas. I also got to see my best friend, Katherine and meet her bunny, Basil. He's so soft and large. Happy holidays everyone!

Last Supper

These pictures were taken from the last night that everyone was in Florence. It was such a nice night celebrating being done with finals and saying goodbye to Florence. We went to Osteria Santo Spirito and I got ravioli with walnut cream sauce. Studying in Florence was the best experience of my life, I know it's cliche, but people say it for a reason! Being home is nice, but I miss all of my new friends and I can't wait to visit Italy again.
